School Policies
TrinityPrep is a safe harbor for those who desire to learn in a caring, positive environment.
TrinityPrep’s “Code of Conduct” is founded on our vision of creating a happy and kind school experience.
What We Expect from Students:
Treat ALL with respect and kindness.
Make positive contributions to the learning environment.
Respect the teachers and staff and follow their instructions and school rules.
Be punctual, prepared, and participating in class and completing expected coursework on time.
Do not bully/threaten others with your words and actions in any space.
Do not use or sell drugs, alcohol, tobacco and Vape products.
Use of Electronic Devices at TrinityPrep:
All students may purchase an approved Chromebook from TrinityPrep for $200. Computers purchased from TrinityPrep will be loaded with all the proper software and security measures.
Students are not permitted to add any outside software unless needed for auditory or visual assistance. Chromebooks are the property of the student, TrinityPrep is not responsible if they are lost, stolen, or damaged.
Students looking to use their personal computers must be set up on the wifi by Ms. Barto to ensure security. Students are not permitted to use HotSpots or VPN while on school property.
Phones and other electronic devices are not allowed in the classroom unless a student has a medical accommodation on record. Teachers can approve an exception if the phone is used for a class assignment or project.
Cell phones and electronic devices may only be used during the lunch break.
Attendance
TrinityPrep believes one of the most important indicators of learning success is to have a student be in class on time and ready to learn everyday. We are committed to work with the students and parents to assure their success.
School Tardies
If a student is tardy, they should report to the front office to receive a note, identifying the time the student arrived and if the tardy is excused (i.e. a parent has called or documentation has been provided excusing the student). Examples of tardies that may be excused: doctor appointments, inclement weather, car trouble, illness, etc. *Excessive tardiness may result in consequences on a case-by-case basis.
School Absences & Recovery Program (Plan)
For an absence to be excused, a parent/guardian must notify the front desk. Excused absences include illness of the student, medical appointments and death in the family. Any other reasons will need to be reviewed with the parent and the school administrator.
Students accumulating more than (10) absences per semester (both excused and unexcused), during the school year will require an individualized Recovery Program to be completed by the end of the semester in which the absences occurred.
A Recovery Program is put in place by the teacher(s) and an administrator and will include makeup work during the study period or after school hours (during Academic Support times) to complete the expected coursework.
Anti-Bullying and Threats
Prohibition of Harassment, Threats, Intimidation and Bullying
TrinityPrep is committed to a safe and civil educational environment for all students, employees, volunteers, and patrons, free from harassment, threats, intimidation or bullying. “Harassment, intimidation, or bullying” includes any intentional written, verbal, or physical act, when the intentional written, verbal, or physical act:
Physically harms a student or damages the student’s property; or
Has the effect of substantially interfering with a student’s education; or
Is persistent, pervasive, or severe so that it creates an intimidating or threatening educational environment; or
Has the effect of substantially disrupting the orderly operational routine of the classroom and/or school.
A student who threatens to harm themselves or others must be treated seriously. The parent will be asked to pick up the student. The student can return to school upon completing an evaluation and the school receiving a letter that the student is safe to himself and others.
Closed Campus
As a part of our commitment to providing a safe learning environment, TrinityPrep is a closed campus. All visitors should report to the main office for registration and approval to enter the building/campus.
School departure or pickup
School ends at 2:00pm. Students should depart campus or be picked at that time.
Students attending Academic Success-Support—who do not drive—should remain in classrooms until completion and will be excused to the Art Room until pickup. Students who drive may leave Academic Success-Support upon completion and should depart the campus at that time. Students who carpool with those attending Academic Success-Support can wait for pick up in the Art Room.
