Grant Funding

At TrinityPrep we accept the ESA+
& Opportunity Scholarship from NCSEAA

About ESA+ & How to apply

About the Program:

  • Two Levels of Funding

The base level of funding is a $9,000 annual award; students with certain designated disabilities may be eligible to receive a $17,000 annual award.

  • Enrollment Options

The ESA+ includes a variety of enrollment options, including private schools, home schools, and co-enrollment.

  • Flexible Spending

Funds can be used for K12 school tuition as well as certain allowable expenses such as speech therapy, tutoring, and educational technology.

The ESA+ scholarship is for students with disabilities who require special education services. When you apply, we will ask you to submit your student’s Eligibility Determination. This is a legal document issued by a public school that determines whether a student has a disability and is eligible for special education or related services. Visit How to Apply for more information on the process.

About Opportunity Scholarship & How to apply

About the Program

Have questions? You’re in the right place. Since 2014, we’ve helped families across North Carolina apply for educational funds through the Opportunity Scholarship.

  • Who can apply for an Opportunity Scholarship?

North Carolina families of students entering kindergarten through 12th grade.

  • How much money is it?

Awards range from approximately $3,000 to $7,000, based on a family’s household income.

  • How can the money be used?

The money can be used to pay for tuition and other required fees to attend registered private schools.

SEAA has sent Opportunity Scholarship offers for the 2025-26 school year to eligible families that applied after the priority period, through mid-May. Families must accept or decline the award in MyPortal by June 6, 2025

The application remains open until further notice. Families that apply after the priority period are awarded in order of application date as funds are available, after renewal and priority period applicants. We will notify these families by early July whether an award can be offered.
