About Trinity Prep
A private school — Lower, Middle & High School — built on 30 years of experience helping every kind of mind discover its full potential.
Our Story
Trinity Preparatory School was founded in 1994 with a vision to create an educational environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. The school's roots trace back to the late 1980s when Bruce Corwin, a former high school teacher and football coach, left IBM to return to his true passion: education.
In 1998, Doug Corwin joined his father, taking on the role of Head of School in 2011. In 2017, Dr. Harry Barto became Chairman, bringing strategic vision. By 2022, he transitioned into a teaching role and took on the role of Head of School — leading the school while enriching the academic experience directly from the classroom.
Trinity Preparatory School is a private school in Charlotte, NC serving students in grades 3–12 across Lower, Middle, and High School, dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential in a safe, bullying-free environment.

A Space for Every Mind
From the Trinity Prep Team
If your student has ever felt like they don't quite fit the traditional mold — too curious, too different, too themselves — you've found the right place. Trinity Prep was built for minds that see the world differently. Here, that is not a challenge to manage; it is the foundation of everything we do.
