Neurodivergent & Neurodiversity
Understanding and supporting every type of mind — with compassion, expertise, and individualized care.
Every Brain is Unique
Neurodiversity is the idea that neurological differences are a normal part of human variation. At Trinity Prep, we celebrate these differences and build our entire educational approach around supporting neurodivergent learners.
Our small class sizes, individualized learning plans, and trained educators ensure that every student — regardless of how their brain is wired — receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
No IEP required to enroll. While we fully honor and work with existing IEP and 504 Plans, they are not a requirement to join our community.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD & ADD)
Students with ADHD or ADD often struggle in traditional classroom settings due to difficulty focusing, impulsivity, or hyperactivity. At Trinity Prep, our small class sizes and individualized instruction mean teachers can adapt lessons and provide the structure and movement-friendly environment these students need. We use varied learning activities, frequent feedback, and flexible scheduling to help ADHD/ADD students stay engaged and succeed.
Dyslexia
Dyslexia affects reading, writing, and spelling. Our educators are trained in multi-sensory teaching methods that help students decode language more effectively. We provide extended time for reading and written assignments, and use audio, visual, and kinesthetic approaches so students with dyslexia can access the curriculum in ways that work for their unique learning style.
School Anxiety
Anxiety can make attending school feel overwhelming. Trinity Prep's nurturing, bullying-free environment is specifically designed to reduce academic and social stress. Our counseling support, mentorship programs, and strong student-teacher relationships help students develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience, and attend school consistently — paving the way for academic and personal growth.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Students on the autism spectrum often benefit from predictable routines, clear expectations, and patient, understanding educators. Trinity Prep provides a structured yet flexible environment where students feel safe. Our teachers work individually with each student to identify their communication style, sensory preferences, and learning strengths — building on them to create meaningful academic progress.
Dysgraphia
Dysgraphia affects a student's ability to write clearly and organize thoughts on paper. We offer accommodations such as typed assignments, speech-to-text tools, extended time, and reduced writing requirements where appropriate. Our teachers focus on the quality of a student's ideas rather than penalizing difficulties with handwriting or formatting.
Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)
DCD affects motor coordination, making physical tasks — from handwriting to sports — challenging. At Trinity Prep, we adapt physical education and classroom activities to be inclusive and confidence-building. Our supportive athletics program (Cross Country, Basketball, Golf) encourages participation at all ability levels, and we work with families to ensure physical accommodations are in place.
